Soft, airy, and romantic defined the tone of Chicago couple Erin and Dan’s wedding day. While the city has their heart, they chose a breathtaking 9,600 sq ft space with floor-to-ceiling glass walls—perfect for a flowing, draped tent reception at The Venue at Goebbert's, nestled in Pingree Grove, Illinois.
From the very beginning, Erin and Dan were clear: they wanted the day to feel fun, relaxed, and centered on togetherness. That sentiment wove through every moment from the quiet, compassionate way they moved through the day together to the joy radiating from their friends and family as they celebrated.
Before heading to the venue, Erin and Dan made a meaningful stop at home to take photos with their beloved pup, Rainey. It was a pause that felt emblematic of them: tender, real, and full of love.
The design struck a balance between playful and polished. A custom green checkerboard dance floor served as a striking focal point, complemented by thoughtfully crafted installations, including the seating chart, bar display, and cake backdrop, that added texture and personality. Inspired by their love of natural beauty, live trees and potted shrubs framed the space, bringing an organic softness that made the tent feel grounded and alive.
